> Beginning Drama – taught by Elizabeth Holmes, 5 Tuesdays 5:30 pm –  6:30 pm beginning September 26, 2017- A workshop for young thespians ages 8 and up. This class is for students who are new to the stage and is a great introduction to theatre arts. Cost is $30

> Advanced Drama-taught by Elizabeth Holmes, 5 Wednesdays  4:30 pm – 5:45 pm beginning September 27, 2017.  This workshop is for students who have taken a previous Drama class at the arts center or who have stage experience.  Character Development, audition preparation, monologues will just be some of the things covered in this class. Cost is $40

>Beginning Children’s Ballet for Ages 5 – 7 - taught by Shellyn Leeper.  5 Tuesdays 4:30 pm – 5:00 pm,  beginning September 26, 2017.This class is an introductory experience for beginners wanting to know about ballet. Wear ballet slippers or socks & comfortable clothes. Cost is $25.

> Intermediate Balletfor ages 8 – 11  taught by Shellyn Leeper – 5 Tuesdays 5:00 p-m – 5:30 pm beginning September 26, 2017…cost is $20. This class is for beginners who are just a bit older. Wear ballet slippers or socks & comfortable clothes. Cost is $25

Cartooning Boot Camp – taught by Doug Laubacher – Ages 8 and up.  5 Tuesdays 4:15 pm – 5:30 pm. beginning September 26, 2017.  Learn to create interesting and distinctive characters in different styles…if you are interested in manga, comic strips or superheroes this class is for you! Students are encouraged to bring sketchbooks and favorite drawing medium. Cost is $40

> Drawing & Painting for Kids - taught by William Koch – Ages 8 and up. 5 Wednesdays 4:15pm – 5:30pm beginning September 27, 2017.  Learn skills, explore media and engage your creativity! All materials provided. For young artists ages 8 and up.  Cost is $40.

> Kids Clay – taught by Christine Rober – 5 Tuesdays 4:15pm – 5:30pm beginning September 26, 2017. Young artists ages 8 and up will learn the principles of hand building. Create your dreams in clay!  All materials included (clay, glaze, firing) please wear old clothes!  Cost is $40.

 

 

Summer Art Camp…here are the classes that were offered in July 2017…the next art camp will be July, 2918…the dates are 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 & 26  New classes will be posted April by 15, 2018!

 

Morning Classes:

> Pottery (hand building) – taught by Christine Rober – 10:00am to 11:30 am. Students will primarily work OFF the wheel and get personal one-to-one instruction on how to work with slabs, create textures, use the tools, etc… and how to decorate then finish the piece. For students 8 -18. SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

> Beginning Children’s Ballet for Ages 5 – 7 - taught by Shellyn Leeper10:00am – 10:45am, This class is an introductory experience for beginners wanting to know about ballet. Wear ballet slippers or socks & comfortable clothes.

>Create a Character - taught by Kathleen Riley10:00am – 11:30am.  Students will draw, paint, design and build a 3D character! Students will use recycled and new materials, learn many skills and use their imagination in this creative process. All materials provided. For ages 8 and up…bring a pic of your favorite character (animal, human etc.) to work with.  SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

 Drawing from Observation – taught by  Bill Koch. Ages 8 – 12, 10:00am – 11:30am.  Learn to draw from nature as well as use your imagination to create fabulous compositions. SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

>Textured Metal Box - Taught by Karen Campbell – Ages 10 – 14, 10:00am – 11:30am. Using a variety of materials students will create a raised surface box.  Using the metal process of repousse and chasing, the box will be finished to look as it  may have been crafted by an ancient silversmith. (wear old clothing or bring a paint shirt) SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

> Cartooning Boot Camp – taught by Doug Laubacher – Ages 8 and up.  10:00 am – 11:30am. Learn to create interesting and distinctive characters in different styles…if you are interested in manga, comic strips or superheroes this class is for you! Students are encouraged to bring sketchbooks and favorite drawing medium. SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

 

Afternoon Classes:

> Pottery (wheel throwing) – taught by Ashley McCleary – Noon to 1:30pm. Students will work primarily on the wheel and get personal one-to-one instruction on how to center the clay, bring up the walls, use the tools, etc… and how to decorate the finished piece. We can also hand build. This class is primarily for students 11 to 18, younger students by special permission based on prior experience. SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

> Splish-Splash Watercolor Class – taught by  Bill Koch.  Ages 8 – 12, Noon – 1:30pm.  Learn to use watercolor paints to create beautiful compositions. Explore the beauty of this medium. Only 2 spots left!

> Drama – taught by Elizabeth Holms – A workshop for young thespians ages 8 – 17, Noon1:30pm. Learn to put a play together from audition to performance! Class discussion includes: character development, costumes, sets, props and makeup. SORRY THIS CLASS IS FULL.

>Trash to Treasure - taught by Mallory Gerstacker, for ages 8 and up, Noon – 1:30pm.  Take your old things and recreate something new and amazing. Campers will work on a variety of projects that will take recycling to an artistic level! T-Shirt Surgery, wind chimes, sculptures and more all made from recyclable materials.  The following items would be super to begin collecting for the class…T-shirts, toilet paper / paper towel rolls, tin cans, plastic bottles & Styrofoam trays.  >Gifts & Ornaments from Clay – Kim Hohlmayer.  5 Mondays from 6:15pm – 7:45pm beginning November 7, 2016.  Create unique clay gifts for family and friends…including: jewelry, small dishes, magnets and more! No previous experience necessary and all ages welcome…children under 8 must have an adult accompany them.  All materials included. Member Cost – $55 per person, Non-Member Cost – $65…Member Cost for child & adult combo $75, Non-Member Cost for child & adult combo $85.
