4 Saturday's 9 am - Noon Beginning April 22, 2023. (4 sessions, three hours each)

Taught by Dee Grossman.  This class is for beginners or those with some experience who would like to work with clay on the wheel. Tools, clay and glaze are provided.  Member cost $125 Non-Member cost $150. Class dates are April 22, 29, May13 & 20. SORRY, THIS CLASS IS FULL!

Pottery and Craft

Photography Workshops, winter 2023  CALL 330.339.2787 TO REGISTER.

Saturday Mornings from 9:00 am - 11:30

Taught by Terry Barnhill. Three one day workshops, "How to take your photography to the next level" $20 each.

Class 101: Saturday, January 14, 2023: 

 The modern DSLR camera makes good photography easy, however if you want to take your skill set to the next level, this session is for you. Learn to get the most out of your gear by understanding a few basic concepts.

Class 102: Saturday, February 4, 2023: 

A great follow-up to session 101, however you do not need to have taken the first session. This is a great "stand alone " session. Topics covered include exposure, depth of field, advanced lighting and more.

Class 103: Saturday, February 18, 2023:

This is a great "stand alone session" or a terrific follow-up to the first 2 sessions. Topics covered include lighting, composition, camera settings and more. A brief discussion of post processing is included.

As a bonus you will be given 6 assignments that will give you a jump-start on being the photographer you want to be.

All sessions will have ample time for questions and answers...bring your equipment!

ADVANCED POTTERY MONTHLY OPEN STUDIO

TCCA Board approved requirements: Must be a member of TCCA.

Monthly Open Studio  Pottery Students who want to use the TCCA facility without class instruction can now do so during TCCA hours and during scheduled classes with permission of the instructor. Must have taken at least (3) prior TCCA pottery classes. Must purchase Clay from TCCA and work without instruction. Pottery will be fired for you by instructors along with other student work.  Please note…The purpose of open studio is to provide TCCA Members with a studio space to create pottery for personal pleasure and artistic enrichment or to enhance skills and ability.  Open Studio is not intended to expense business costs of  production for retail sale or to support a personal business venture. Cost – $50 / month (for members only)

Clay Design

GLAZE-MAKING 101

Six Mondays, 6:30pm – 8:30pm TBA.

Taught Debbie Tucker. For students who already have a basic understanding of pottery and glazes who want to learn about mixing unique glazes. The classes will focus on glaze chemistry, proper tools, and the mixing of chemicals to produce a functioning glaze. Member cost $65 -Non-Members $75.  Materials will be provided.

WATERCOLOR, ACRYLIC OR OIL PAINTING

Ongoing, Saturdays
9:00am – 11:00am.

Taught by Bill Koch. Individual instruction with ALL levels of experience. Member Cost – $8 per session. Non-Member Cost – $10 / session.

PIT FIRE WORKSHOP

Ages 10 to Adult.  TBA.

Taught by Kim Hohlmayer. Learn a process in glaze firing that is similar to RAKU yet surprisingly different! Lots of coppery highlights.  Make a variety of projects to fire.  Member cost – $55 – Non Member cost – $65

PAINTING GROUP

10:00am – 2:00pm.

Taught by Twila Christner. Do you enjoy painting in the company of others? Join the fun and create your works of art. Bring a little something for a pot luck lunch. Member Cost – $8 per session. Non-Member Cost – $10 / session
